In the spring of 2008, Kenneth C. Collins Sr, and Ann Vanino, Owner of Moving Forward Coaching & Consulting, saw opportunity coming to the High Desert Region in the form of a multi-billion dollar national green economic sector. They decided to move forward with this opportunity for the benefit of everyone in our High Desert Region. In Fall of 2008 the High Desert Region Green Jobs Initiative was born!

We, in the High Desert Region, must ride the Green Wave for the economic and social betterment of our region. The time is now…wind power, solar power, bio diesel, diesel fuel, ethanol and other projects are already locating in our region; educational institutions, labor, community-based organizations, local government and area businesses all see the potential and are becoming our partners.

We are creating a collaboration of stakeholders…the private sector, government, community-based organizations, labor, educational institutions, youth, and unemployed adults…to design and implement The High Desert Region Green Jobs Initiative.
